About this Event
Who We Are:
The Children's Policy and Law Initiative of Indiana (CPLI) was established in 2013 to reform laws, policies and practices that contribute to the criminalization of children in Indiana. It is a proud member of the National Youth Justice Network (NJJN). The NYJN leads a movement of state-based advocacy groups working toward a fairer youth justice system. CPLI advocates for systemic changes for children so that programs, policies and practices are developmentally-appropriate, equitably-administered and fair, and provide the necessary support for a child’s successful transition to adulthood.
The Youth Justice Leadeship Summit will feature presentations from CPLI Youth Justice Leadership Program participants on recommendations for our city officials and schools to make improvements. There will be youth from the community, pubic policy officials, educators, speakers, and MORE! A light breakfast and lunch will be served.
Please join us for food, fun, and fellowship to hear Indianapolis youth share their voices!
