Join me to slow down and welcome the season of winter in this yin yoga workshop at my cosy studio at Mathrafal Barns near Meifod.During the workshop we practice seasonal yin yoga including seasonal wellbeing tips and acupressure points.
Friday 05th December 18:30-20:30. £20 - only 6 spaces.
To me yin yoga is everything – it heals me, supports me and keeps me connected. Yin gives space to explore and be curious and space to pause. It is not always comfortable but it is a powertool for wellbeing from the inside out.
The origins of yin yoga comes from Traditional Chinese Medicine in which you are invited to follow the wisdom and energetics of the seasons and to tune in with that energy in your body. I share an acupressure point in each yin yoga class and workshop which links to the session and energy.
In a yin yoga practice, the poses are held for around 5 minutes using support and props such as cushions, bolsters and blocks. This allows the body time to ease into the poses and the practice to go deeper (but not necessarily the pose). It affects the connective tissue which is not easily accessible in many other practices.
All props are provided in my studio.
