About this Event
Take some time from the chaos to turn inwards, acknowledge your heart presence and come home to your breath and body.
In this session, you are held and guided back to the peace that resides in your deepest being. At this time of year, we are approaching the darkest night. The nights are asking us to rest and invite stillness.
It can be said that the feminine essence is descent~ into the emotional realms, where intuition is alive and magic is tangible.
Late November can be a hectic time as modern life obsesses over Christmas. Yet this is the magical time where the darkness can whisper us to ebrace the magic of teh dreamtime Most indigenous cultures welcomed this space as a time of connection to the collective wisdom, to the ancestral threads of all who cam before us and all who is yet to come. They welcomed the dreamtime as a place of healing, power, creativity and strength.
Our modern world has lost it's connection to the Dreaming. We value only productivity and outward goals. This has led to an extreme imalance accross the planet.
Yoga reveals to us that we have everything we need inside, already here. There is nowhere to be and nothing to do. The act of resting, tuning in and listening can be revolutionary.
Its time now, to listen, to rest and to come home to ourselves.
Through settling our nervous systems and shifting our brainwaves into alpha and theta, we enter the deepest dreamtime, we welcome the dark as a drop of the void, the mystery where we all came from and all return to.
Yin Yoga focuses on the connective tissues; the facsia, ligaments, joints and bones. We hold the shapes for longer periods of time and allow the tissues to stretch and lengthen, which also opens up any blockages held in the energy channels, allowing the Qi or Prana to flow more effectively.
We use the extended holds as a meditation; to focus on breath, to watch the mind and to feel every little sensation. In turn we become more embodied~ more connected to what our bodies are communicating, more connected to our feelings and get out of living so much in the mind, allowing repetitive thoughts to rule.
Yoga Nidra is the yoga of deep rest, in a reclined and still position you are guided through the mind-space into your parasympathetic nervous system, which is conducive to strengthening the immune system, helping with chronic pain and relieving stress. You are guided into deep parts of your inner being to recieve intuitive insights, empowering you on your path to self- awareness.
Each nidra is woven with sound, mantra, instruments and voice to facilitate any healing that is needed even further infused with hands- on sprinkles of reiki here and there together with incense and essential oils to make this a full sensual experience.
