Yin YogaSlow down and sink in. This calming, meditative practice uses long-held, floor-based poses to gently stretch connective tissues, improve flexibility, and restore energy flow. With the support of props and mindful breathing, you’ll cultivate stillness, patience, and a deep sense of release—leaving both body and mind feeling nourished and renewed.
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga where you hold mostly floor-based poses for longer periods of time, usually between 2–5 minutes, sometimes even up to 8.
Instead of targeting muscles like in more active (yang) styles of yoga, Yin focuses on the body’s connective tissues, ligaments, fascia, and joints, by applying gentle, sustained pressure and stretch. This helps improve mobility, especially in areas like the hips, pelvis, and spine.
It’s also a deeply meditative practice. Because you’re still for so long, you can turn inward, slow your breath, and calm your nervous system. The result is often a mix of physical release and mental clarity, kind of like pressing the “reset” button for your body and mind.
