Join us at Little Switch Yoga in the beautiful, historic Vasa Hall for an intensive, four-part Yin Yoga series designed to help you achieve deep stretch & build mental resilience. This is a challenging series for the mind and the body.
Yin Yoga features longer holds and fewer poses. You will not work up a sweat, but will instead nourish and lengthen your connective tissues.
Studies on Yin Yoga:
The Journal of the American Pharmacists Association (Nov/Dec 2021) showed significant reductions in stress and anxiety and significant increases in mindfulness, lasting up to six months post-intervention.
In a pilot study called "Yin Yoga for Caregivers of People With Dementia" (Journal of Gerontological Nursing, 2023) an eight-week analysis found reduction in caregiver burden and support for self-compassion.
A 2016 study in the International Journal of Yoga demonstrated improvements in Sit-and-reach flexibility, shoulder flexibility, and whole-body joint flexibility.
