To Tymi, yoga is not a practice, but a journey. It begins with the
spirit but does not end with rolling up the mat. Yoga is not an
activity, but a way of life; not an exercise, but a passion. Her
approach to teaching yoga is to bring people closer to this philosophy and using it to achieve their life goals.
In typical Tymi fashion, she took injuries from her days as a ballet dancer and turned to yoga in 1993, finding both physical and spiritual comfort in its adoption. Receiving her BA in Theatre and Dance from Rollins College and Masters Degree from NYU/ Circle in the Square, and yoga trainings with some of the renowned yogis of the world—John Friend, Dharma Mittra, David Swenson, Steve Ross, Jonny Kest, Barron Baptiste, Shiva Rea, David Life, Shannon Gannon, and others—Tymi has
developed a unique approach to teaching that finds its roots in a
devotion to God, to life, and to yoga.
Deep Dive into Yin Yoga / Immersion/ Training/ One Day Intensive
Go Deeper! Yin Yoga challenges you to explore your hips and spine more fully than you could have imagined. Dive even deeper into understanding the Yin Yoga system in this Yin Yoga intensive training course. You will learn which tissues are being targeted, the physiological benefits of practicing in a yin fashion, and the subtle effects that contribute to the all-over good feeling the practice creates. We will investigate more than 25 Yin Yoga poses, learning individual-specific alignment as well as the energy channels being stimulated. You will viscerally integrate the information so that, upon completing the course, you will be able not only to teach Yin Yoga classes but also to answer students’ questions with confidence
and clarity.

Vital difference between tension and compression
Yin Yoga’s alignment considerations: proportion, appropriate stressing of tissue, and when to back off
