This course is for practitioners and teachers who want to learn more about Yin Yoga in the context of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the 12 meridians. TCM offers a holistic approach to optimal health and wellbeing which emphasizes harmonizing with nature. We will explore the 5 elements in depth to understand their functions and how we may balance each element with Yin yoga and the foods we eat. Participants will focus on the target areas of Yin yoga postures and learn variations to find the right shape for every unique body. Teachers will learn a variety of ways to sequence a Yin yoga class, as well as refine their instruction skills. Each day of the training will include a Yin yoga practice.

Hand outs provided. Just bring a pen and notebook, yoga mat, water bottle and snacks :) There are also restaurants close by to grab a light bite during your breaks.
Your Presenters:
Jenn Ragland, ERYT-500, YACEP, currently teaches both Yin and Restorative Yoga. In 2019,
she completed 30 hours with Judith Lasater, earning her certification as a Relax and Renew®
Level 1 trainer. Jenn has studied Yin and Traditional Chinese Medicine with master teachers
Bernie Clark, Tiffany Cruikshank, and most recently completed a 60-hour training with Jo Phee.
Her passion is helping people find an inner sanctuary through Yin yoga.
Debby Smith, LMBT, RYT-500, ERYT-200, YACEP is a yoga instructor and a licensed massage
and bodywork therapist. Debby has over 20 years experience in the wellness industry as a
practitioner and teacher. Through her rigorous massage and yoga training, she has developed a
strong foundation in the concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CM) and is passionate
about sharing this paradigm of health through bodywork and yoga.
