A peaceful and deep immersion into the Self through yin yoga and a beautiful guided yoga nidra meditation in Bridgetown.Yin Yoga is a gentle path of yoga that emphasizes long held stretches to allow the body the time it needs to sink in.
In yin yoga we learn to accept the present moment as it is, letting go of resistance. We allow our bodies and ourselves to just be.
After the yoga practice we will transition into a longer guided Yoga Nidra meditation.
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that follows a specific format, always including a sankalpha (intention), a body scan rotation and some concentration on the breath. The main part of the meditation varies from yoga nidra to yoga nidra. It can include visualizations, rapid images, invocation of sensations and more. You are encouraged to bring your journal to write down any insights, questions, ideas. Yoga Nidra is very powerful in uplifting our consciousness and changing unwanted patterns, while at the same time being deeply relaxing.
Please bring your yoga mat, a bolster or pillow, a blanket and optionally an eye pillow and journal.
