About this Event
Our upcoming Evening of Yin Yoga within a Sound Bath is happening on 19th July in the delightful loft studio at Energise Fitness, Maidstone.
Helen and Ellie are coming together to offer you a gentle, yet powerful evening, as we combine a mindful yin yoga session with a sublime sonic experience, a relaxing and restorative sound journey, using the radiant light of healing that emanates from Planet Gongs combined with Crystal Singing Bowls.
Take this opportunity to relax, go within, realign and balance. We ask you to come, surrender fully and allow the sacred sounds to wash over and through you, whilst you are peacefully guided through a yin yoga practice.
Nurture inner peace.
Deepen spiritual connection.
Embrace more clarity and joy.
Yoga mats and props are available in the studio, but you are also welcome to bring your own. Please also bring any blankets or cushions to enhance your comfort. Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is recommended.
Love and light,
Ellie and Helen xxx
What happens during yin yoga and a sound bath?
There is no water involved, the word "bath" refers to the listener bathing in the sound and vibrations of the gongs and crystal singing bowls. Yin yoga involves long holds in supported, passive yoga postures, allowing time to relax and rebalance in body, mind and soul.
What do I do?
Wear comfortable, warm clothing, please bring your own blanket if possible, maybe your favourite woolly socks and a bottle of water to keep you extra comfortable! You will be guided through a gentle yin yoga session, giving plenty of time to move between postures, arranging any props to specifically support your body, followed by a long relaxation where you lie on the yoga mat to enjoy the sound bath.
Contraindications:
It is worth noting that each person is different and will have a unique, individual experience during a sound bath.
Whilst for the majority of people, it is a deeply healing, relaxing and restorative experience, there are some cases in which this may not be for you.
For example:
If you suffer from tinnitus or any sound-related epilepsy.
Are in your first trimester of pregnancy.
Currently taking, or have been receiving, Medic*tion for any form of psychological disorder within the last 6 months.
Have a pacemaker or any metal plates in your body.
You may experience visuals, such as a dream-like state or seeing colours, temporary physical sensations as you undergo physical healing. For example, tingling or becoming more acutely aware of areas where you may be experiencing pain.
You may experience different emotions, for example feeling blissful or tearful as you undergo deep emotional healing. All of this can depend on what you yourself are bringing to the session, physically, emotionally and mentally.
Listening to the sounds of the gongs and the crystal singing bowls is generally a relaxing and meditative experience. However, it is possible that you may experience a dislike for a certain gong or crystal bowl at a certain time during the session. Usually, this means you have healing to do in a certain area, which this gong or bowl can help with.
If you have any questions at all, please do get in touch.
We look forward to seeing you soon. xxx
