Are you up for something new? It’s deliciously slow and very relaxing ... Yin Yoga! What is Yin?
Most of what we practice in the west is considered “Yang” yoga (vinyasa/hatha) which physically targets the muscles and is quite energising. It peps you up.
“Yin” yoga targets connective tissues of our body and accesses deep fascial networks, working along meridian lines to align imbalances in the body.
Why would I do it?
After a yin class, you’ll feel like you’re floating on a cloud. Your body becomes more supple, flexible, you’ll feel a beautiful sense calm and total relaxation.
What to expect?
Yin yoga mostly contains passive poses that are held for longer periods of time (up to 5 minutes), so it doesn’t require much energy from you. The poses, props and time do most of the work so you can just ease into the pose, relax and enjoy.
When is it and how to sign up?
Join us at 7:15 pm for a 60 minute Yin class on 16th September.
Only 10 spots available, please make sure to book in ahead of time.
This is a one-off class, with the view to add to our Term 4 timetable depending on your response. So book in, and let us know what you think!
