Join Anne for an immersive ninety minute workshop to take pause, slow down and explore balance between stillness and movement in this special ‘Yin in Motion’ workshop.
Through the passive floor based stillness of yin and the active movement of yang you’ll learn how to balance these two energies, mentally and physically.
‘Yin in Motion’ has receptive, passive and contractive aspects of movement, which can transform into its opposite, ‘Yang ’(active, expansive motion) underscoring that even in motion there is mindfulness, stillness and surrender.
At its core this practice targets the deeper connective tissues of the body, encouraging a deep release and increased flexibility.
Yoga is rooted in mindfulness and ‘yin in motion’ cultivates the mindful moments of stillness that allow the parasympathetic nervous system to rise up, to calm the mind and relax the body.
When you give yourself permission to pause…it allows our nervous system to regulate, the tissues to recover and your mind to find clarity.
