Yin & Yoga Nidra: Harnessing the Quiet Power of Winterwith Justina Gooden-Helton
Sunday, January 5th
1-3pm
“Don't think the garden loses its ecstasy in winter. It's quiet, but the roots down there are riotous.” --Rumi.
Winter is inherently slower and quieter, but in the stillness, there is opportunity for growth. In this 2-hour workshop we will discuss what TCM says about winter and how to navigate the most yin season of the year with more ease. Next, we will dive into the making of a well-crafted sankalpa (intention) and learn how it can be used to affect positive changes in the new year. We will end with a lovely Yin and Yoga Nidra practice incorporating these ideas.
This workshop is suitable for all levels. Please bring a journal. Dress for warmth and light movement and, while we have plenty of props and blankets, feel free to bring your own if that adds to your comfort.
Cost: $25
