This 90-minute practice offers a holistic approach to deep relaxation, beginning with the physical release of tension in Yin Yoga and transitioning into the mental and emotional rejuvenation of Yoga Nidra. By the end of the session, you'll feel completely relaxed, centered, and refreshed—offering yourself the gift of total relaxation and a sense of inner peace. We begin with Yin Yoga, focusing on long-held, gentle stretches to target the deep connective tissues, including the ligaments, tendons, and fascia. In Yin Yoga, we hold each posture for several minutes, allowing the body to soften and release deeply, creating space in the body and mind. Props such as blankets, bolsters, blocks, and straps will be used to ensure maximum comfort and support, allowing you to fully relax while maintaining proper alignment. This portion of the practice is designed to release tension and stress, cultivating a sense of calm and openness.
Following the Yin practice, we will transition into Yoga Nidra, a deeply relaxing guided meditation often referred to as "yogic sleep." During Yoga Nidra, you will lie comfortably, with your body fully supported, as you are led through a body scan and guided imagery to release tension and calm the mind. The practice involves scanning and relaxing each part of the body, from the tips of your toes to the crown of your head, helping to create deep physical and mental relaxation.
