About this Event
Rising housing costs continue to create an unsustainable burden for Colorado, making rents too high, putting homeownership out of reach for many, and driving more of our neighbors into homelessness. While last year state elected officials passed some legislation to reform local zoning and land use regulations at the heart of the problem, there is still much more to be done.
At this year's YIMBY Denver’s Legislative Kick Off Party, you can learn about what legislation is being proposed for 2025, and about what you can do to help it get passed. Enjoy complementary hors d’oeuvres, have a drink or two, and meet some of the elected officials who are leading the charge on state land use reform.
This event is for you if:
- You care about making housing more affordable in Colorado
- You care about making our cities safer and more sustainable
- You want to work towards the long term solutions that will truly address homelessness by increasing the overall housing supply
- You want Colorado to move closer to meeting its climate goals by enabling denser communities that require less automobile usage
- You want to meet some of the leading elected officials and activists in Denver who care about these issues and find out how you can get involved.
So please join us at what promises to be one of the most exciting events of the year for anyone who thinks Colorado is Not Full!
