For people who are interested in walking, YHA’s guided social walks offer a supported and safe space to get involved with walking, meet other walkers, and build confidence walking in rural locations.All you need to do is book your place and look forward to a ramble to remember. What’s more, at selected hostels, you’ll get a free cuppa at the finishing point.
Overview:

Duration: 4 hours
Led by: Jonathan Schofield, Manchester tour guide
Starting and finishing at YHA Manchester, this walk includes a central part of the GM Ringway – Greater Manchester’s walking trail. Jonathan will take you on a tour around some of Manchester's city centre highlights, sharing his vast knowledge of the city with you along the way. Learn about the past, present and future, exploring the personalities that have helped shape the city and visiting spectacular and unusual buildings.
The paths used are all hard-surfaced but narrow, sloped or cobbled in places. The walk will be over 4 hours with a 20-minute break in the middle.
