For people who are interested in walking, YHA’s guided social walks offer a supported and safe space to get involved with walking, meet other walkers, and build confidence walking in rural locations.All you need to do is book your place and look forward to a ramble to remember. What’s more, at selected hostels, you’ll get a free cuppa at the finishing point.

Led by: Bristol Ramblers
We pass historic and modern boats and ships in Bristol Harbour, then head into Ashton Court country park, for views of the mansion and the magnificent red deer. Next, we cross the Clifton Suspension Bridge and pass along beautiful Georgian terraces and through charming green spaces in Clifton, before returning back to YHA Bristol along the other side of the harbour.
Bring a drink and a light picnic lunch for a couple of short refreshment stops along the way. Most of the route is paved, but we use woodland paths at Ashton Court which could be muddy, and there’s one steep hill to climb in Ashton Court.
