PRESENTERS
Dr Fiona Sluchniak
Dr Fiona Sluchniak works in both General Practice and Clinical Forensic Medicine.She has been a GP for more than 25 years, is a Fellow of the Royal Australia College of General Practitioners, and is a co-owner of a Mount Lawley practice. Fiona has worked at the Sexual Assault Resource Centre (SARC) since 2003, and has completed a Masters in Clinical Forensic Medicine. She is a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Clinical Forensic Medicine, of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. As part of this work, she regularly provides expert witness testimony and medico-legal reports in the areas of sexual and physical assault, and non-fatal strangulation.
Dr Hayden Wilson
Dr Hayden Wilson is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, who has completed his medical and psychiatric training here in Western Australia. He has experience in both public and private settings, and has a passion for delivering high-quality child and adolescent mental health care for young people and families. He spent several years overseas, pursuing leadership and management studies in Switzerland (Executive MBA), before returning to Perth to co-found a multidisciplinary mental health clinic in the private sector, the Swiss Family Clinic. He divides his work time with this and his public sector role, as the Director of Infant, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for the WA Country Health Service, leading mental health services who provide care to young people and their families living in regional and remote Western Australia. Among other things, he has clinical special interests in neurodevelopmental disorders, systemic work and psychotherapy.
