Ukrainian-American artist YEV teams up with the "Three Wise Men" jazz trio and special guest opera singer Justin Spenner for a holiday-themed evening at Aster Cafe!YEV crafts cinematic alt-folk/rock with blues hues and vintage-pop edges. With soaring vocals and electric-guitar atmospherics, his songs trace love, loss, and stubborn hope—shaped by an immigrant story and the lives of Ukrainian refugees and veterans. His video “Motherless Child” is an Official Selection at Tallgrass Film Festival 2025.
His self-titled debut earned summer college & community radio spins and charted on Roots Music Report (#1 Minnesota Folk; Top 15 US Folk; Top 7 US Alt-Folk, 2025). A 2023–24 Cedar Commissions artist, he sold out a 100-cap album release at Icehouse (Minneapolis) and performs solo electric or with an expanded ensemble.
