Come and paddle on the iconic LADYBOWER RESERVOIR with YesTribe East Midlands :-) Bring your paddle board, kayak, canoe, pack raft and a picnic - we'll head out to explore whichever leg of the reservoir is open that day and have an adventure.
This could be a lovely gentle paddle on calm water OR the wind could mean it's HARD work to paddle anywhere.... because of this, you will need to be able to fully control your craft and have experience of windy conditions.
We're really sorry, but unfortunately this paddle IS NOT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS due to the potential challenges of the wind.
** Please note that Ladybower Paddlesports require all paddlers to have a quick release waist or chest belt and you will not be allowed to paddle without one. You will also have to sign a waiver **
COST - £10 per craft to be paid on the day
WAIVER - to be completed when you book in and pay
PFD - you won't be allowed to paddle unless you wear a personal flotation device
LEASH - all paddleboarders MUST have a quick release waist or chest leash (Reservoir rules)
SELF RESCUE - you need to be experienced in getting back on / in your craft - please don't put others in our group at risk!
SAFETY BOAT - this will be on the reservoir to check paddlers are safe and have paid
CHILDREN - must be 8 years or over (Reservoir rules)
DOGS - they're allowed on Ladybower Reservoir. Our request is that your canine friends are used to being on water and don't cause problems for you / others as it can spoil the day :-)

PLAN B - the weather can play havoc with paddling plans, so we'll head off for a walk and picnic instead, if wind stops paddle play on the day. We will rearrange for another day.
BRING - suncream / sunhat / drink / snacks / packed lunch / paddle equipment / pdf / leash (SUPs) / waterproofs / sense of adventure :-)

CLICK GOING - only if you're definitely joining us and on Thursday 27 June you will be sent the parking information and where to meet at 10am (via Messenger). From the meeting place we will all go and book in together, then inflate craft and head off for a fun day :-)

Please note that there will be NO TRAINED PADDLE INSTRUCTORS in our group. This is a peer paddle and you are responsible for your own safety. Everyone will be supportive, helpful and we will look out for each other but YOU ARE PADDLING AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Noone will be left behind.
