This is YELLOWBELLY RECORDS: THE SUMMER SOLSTICE 2025.Come and celebrate the longest day of the year with us, in the shadow of the magnificent Tattershall Castle, an imposing 15th Century castle cared for by the National Trust, which was constructed by an influential medieval lord as a statement of wealth and power.
This event is being ran by the National Trust, and we are delighted to have been tasked with providing live music for this wonderful event once again.
So, being harmonious to the incredible history Tattershall Castle boasts, we have chosen three fantastic Lincolnshire-based artists to perform at this event:
The Limewoods - The Limewoods play an exciting mix of their own songs and reworked traditional folk tunes. They are a group of creative musicians who describe what they do as 'doing folk wrong' - this means that they write songs for people to sing along to and are not precious about playing tunes the way they’ve always been played. All they care about is that people are up and dancing and having a great time!
Turning of the Tide - an Acoustic Roots Band from Sleaford, Turning of the Tide all started in 2008, by the humming of a tune from Mr Bacon; "...turning of the tide...". Suffice to say, they thought it was a great name for a band and so, in 2008, they stepped forth, and then forgot to go any further. But, finally, in 2013, they decided to give it another go. And here they are, regularly performing across Lincolnshire, in the likes of Grantham, Sleaford, Lincoln, Wainfleet, and Leadenham.
Stafford Galli - Fusing folk and rock music together to create an atmospheric and uplifting sound, which is complimented by the haunting and rasping vocals of singer songwriter Martin Ferguson, Stafford Galli are firmly one of the best original live acts South Yorkshire has to offer. This Doncaster based band celebrate their 30th year this year, and boast performances throughout the UK and Europe, having supported the likes of the Waterboys, Edwin Starr, Wilko Johnson, and, more recently, having played on the same bill as Bang Bang Romeo and The Blinders. They were voted the second Most Outstanding Band at the Yorkshire Gig Guide Awards in 2019 and 2024 saw the band back with their third studio album, Brick It Back Home, which Yellowbelly Records had the utmost pleasure of physicalising on CD. We are thrilled that they have agreed to join us for this event, and know that they will deliver one heck of a headline set!
As well as live music, there will also be a variety of outdoor games to enjoy, and some tasty food and drink from local suppliers.
