Year 7 "We Belong" Ceremony

Welcome to the Year 7 "We Belong" Ceremony at Kingsway Park High School! Join us on Wed Sep 03 2025 at 12:30 PM for a special event celebrating our newest students. Let's come together as a community to welcome and honor our Year 7 students as they begin their journey at our school. This in-person event will be a memorable occasion and the opportunity to connect with fellow students and teachers. Let's show our support and make our Year 7 students feel like they truly belong at Kingsway Park High School!

Following on from the ceremony you will be invited to attend the Enrichment Fair which showcases the wide range of enrichment and cross-curricular activities that KPHS has to offer.

Info: Arrive in our newly constructed canopy area where you will be greeted by representatives of our Student Leadership Team. You will then be directed to the Sport's Hall to take your seat ready for the arrival of the our new Year 7 students.

Info: You will be welcomed to the 'We Belong' Ceremony by Headteacher, Mr Simon Ward, as well as hearing from our newly appointed Head Boy and Head Girl. Students will be presented with their school tie and given an official warm welcome to Kingsway Park High School. There will be an opportunity at the end of the ceremony to take photographs of, and with, your child.

Info: Please accompany your child to the Canteen area and Main Hall, where you’ll have the chance to explore a variety of stalls showcasing the diverse enrichment and extra-curricular activities available for students.

During this time, you’ll also be introduced to the Kingsway Enrichment Award, which encourages every student to take part in at least one activity per week. It’s a fantastic opportunity for both you and your child to chat with the teachers and Student Ambassadors who will be leading these activities.

Additionally, this is the ideal moment for an informal conversation with your child’s Form Tutor or Head of Year, allowing you to get to know them better and address any questions you may have.
