
About this Event
Year 12 students and their parents/carers are invited to an evening of short talks (20 minutes each) aimed to inform you about sixth form. All talks will be based in KES6 building. Maximum number of tickets per person is 3 and the event lasts 1 hour 20 minutes.
- Miss McCairns, Director of Sixth Form, will talk about how we encourage our sixth form students to become independent learners and the importance of transferable skills and extra-curricular activities.
- Mrs Clayton, Head of Year 12, will explain the mentoring and monitoring systems in sixth form.
- Head Students will give advice to new students and talk about how parents can support.
- Mrs Stott, Deputy Head of Sixth Form, will discuss early applications including Oxford, Cambridge, Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science. This session will be optional.
- You will have an individual meeting with your child’s form tutor.
- Mrs Hughes, SEND Coordinator, will be available for any questions on a drop-in basis.
There will be a rolling programme of talks starting every 20 minutes from 4pm until 7.20pm. You only need to book into 1 session. You should expect to be with us for 1 hour 20 minutes in total and the maximum of 3 tickets per person. Please do not book in the last slot if you are intending to find out about early applications or SEND support.
