About this Event
The purpose of this Parents’ Evening is to review your child’s work so far now that they have started their qualifications in Year 10, but most importantly discuss the remainder of the year and how we can work together to support your child through this important time.
Following some parent feedback, we have reflected on how we run our parents evenings. We recognise that the usual booking system can be stressful; appointments quickly go and parents can be left feeling that they have not met with the teachers they want to meet with. Likewise, the structure of the evening itself can be noisy, appointments lacking privacy with appointment schedules falling by the wayside quickly. None of this is conducive to building positive home school relationships and understanding how both school and home can work specifically together for the success of your child.
Therefore, we are making some changes. The Year 10 cohort is a small cohort so we are confident this new arrangement will work well. You will not be required to book individual teacher appointments – we are doing away with appointments. Alternatively you will book in to one of two sessions which will determine the time slot you can arrive in school. The later you arrive in your time slot, the less likely you will be able to meet with all of your child’s teachers. The time slots are stated below.
· Session 1: 4:00–5:30 pm
· Session 2: 5:30–7:00 pm
