YCP 2026 Writer-in-Residence Talk, "Alone with Each Other: Literacy and Literature Intertwined"

Please join us for a community conversation about the importance of literacy for a thriving York. The event will begin with a brief talk entitled "Alone with Each Other: Literacy and Literature Intertwined" by Dr. Eli Goldblatt, a community literacy advocate, poet, and professor emeritus from Temple University. Then Dr. Goldblatt will be joined by a panel of community leaders, and the audience will be invited to engage in a discussion on the ways that literacy and the humanities enriches, and even saves, lives. Panelists include Eli Goldblatt (YCP Writer-in-Residence), Ken Dinitz (PA Humanities Council), Dominic DelliCarpini (YCP Naylor Endowed Professor of Writing Studies), and Endi Dabney (York City Trauma Responder).
