Dear Friends,We feel very blessed that Hukena and Nayweni Yawanawa, will be coming to Helsinki this summer and guiding us into a healing journey through prayer, sacred songs and dance.
Hukena Yawanawa is the daughter of Hushau, a spiritual leader of the Yawanawa tribe in the amazon forest of Brazil.
Hukana will come with Nayweni, her young sister to share with us the medicine tradition of their ancestors.
We are thankful having this opportunity to host this two powerful women from the amazon forest here in Finland

Hukena Yawanawa
Within her tribe Hukena one of the youngest women who passed the initiation into the shamanic knowledge of her ancestors by doing the Muka diet of one year under the guidance of Tata (the main shaman of the village who made his passage a few years ago). This strong diet is the deepest of the the nowadays practiced diets of her tradition. In this one year's fast in solitude in the forest, she was able to receive deep wisdom from her ancestors as well as a deep healing for herself as a young woman. She continued her path by doing more serious diets and studies, guided by Tata and inspired by her mother, Hushahu .Yawanawa (the first woman of the tribe to walk the spiritual path). Today Hukena devotes her life to sharing the healing and the wisdom of her tradition. She has a deep respect for her ancestors tradition and also is open to find new ways. She has a very beautiful and strong voice and she can bring deep healing chants and prayers as well as many special melodies. She is dedicated to the healing of the feminine, organising women retreats and holding a firm prayer for the female flowering, in balance with the masculine.
Nayweni Yawanawa
Nayweni is the first granddaughter of Hushau Yawanawa and was adopted by her. From baby on she would be joining the ceremonies sitting on the lap of her singing mother. She is flowering as a young woman and is blessed with a beautiful strong voice and is very quick in learning and absorbing the deeper chants. Bringing her own melodies and beauty with the power of a strong profound woman.
