About this Event
Welcome to the Yates Mill Aquatic Conservation Center Grand Opening!
Join the Department of Applied Ecology for a day of celebration as we unveil our new center dedicated to conserving North Carolina's imperiled aquatic fauna through propagation, research and public outreach. Explore our state-of-the-art facilities on Swift Creek and learn about our conservation efforts for three freshwater mussels, one endangered fish species, and one threatened salamander.
Opening remarks will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by Howling Cow ice cream, socializing, and facility tours. We look forward to seeing you there!
