About this Event
Welcome to Freshwalks. This classic ramble event is part of our own vibrant business community programme and everyone is welcome to join us for a morning of walking and networking in the great outdoors. Feel free to come alone - most Freshwalkers do - and you'll be warmly welcomed or invite a colleague or client along for company.
Route description
Starting in Yarmouth, this scenic circular walk follows the River Yar inland along a well-maintained footpath through saltmarshes and meadows, rich in birdlife and wildflowers. The route gently winds towards Freshwater, offering views of rolling countryside and glimpses of the historic Causeway before returning along the opposite side of the river. The path, slightly elevated, provides sweeping views of the estuary and the Solent beyond. This peaceful walk, around 4 miles in total, is mostly flat and suitable for all abilities, making it an ideal way to explore the natural beauty of the island.

Please note that our return time might vary slightly subject to the speed of the group though we wouldn't anticipate returning any later than 12:30.

Public transport: You can take the 7 bus from Newport to Yarmouth. The 09:45 bus arrives at 10:20. Buses return every half an hour. Full timetable here
