Hosted by Norfolk FWAG, with support from Water Resources East, discuss the feasibility of a Farming Cluster Group in the Yare catchment.
About this Event

Farming Cluster Groups exist across the UK to accelearate the uptake of sustainable farming practices, and encourage regions to work more collaboratively to achieve environmental and financial objectives. Groups are typically co-ordinated by a facilitator, led and influenced by farmers and landowners.

A Cluster Group can meet throughout the year to explore topics such as soil health, biodiversity, water quality, etc. The meetings can include guest speakers, indepth workshops, and farm visits. The meetings also act as an important social gathering for those in the area to enthuse and rant about local goings-on.

This meeting will look into the possibility of a farming cluster group, and what potential priorities may be. The meeting will also contain case studies from Norfolk FWAG and Water Resources East about how groups can improve the ability to leverage funding for interventions on the ground.

We recognise the Yare is a large catchment. This meeting will also explore how small or large these groups may be.

This meeting is also part of Norfolk FWAG's Test & Trial to better understand the attitudes of farmers towards collaboration. This will include a short 20-minute exercise. Eligible attendees will receive a £100 online voucher for their time*.

This event is open to all farmers and landowners in the Yare catchment, map below. Non-members encouraged and welcome.
