About this Event

SWG3 is thrilled to announce PARK XR, an innovative event combining urban arts and extended reality technologies to transform Skypark 7, the vacant site between Finnieston Street and Exhibition Centre train station, into a vibrant hub of artistic expression.

This exciting project, led by Yardworks – SWG3’s globally renowned street arts and graffiti programme – will seamlessly blend street art with contemporary art in a unique 43,000 sq ft playground.

Experience a dynamic array of murals, light installations, and innovative digital art expereinces created by the UK's most loved street and graffitt artists. Witness the transformation of shipping containers into large-scale canvasses showcasing new artwork and augmented reality installations.

In May, SWG3’s Yardworks Festival celebrated its sixth edition with a kaleidoscope of color and creativity. Now, the magic continues at Skypark 7.

Event Highlights

Opening weekend: 14th - 16th June 2024 11am - 6pm

Join us over the weekend to watch Yardworks favourites splash colour and artistry across the steel canvas in its new home, if you missed Yardworks this is the perfect chance to see the magic unfold again.

Virtual Reality weekend: 21st - 23rd June 11am - 6pm

The site becomes activated by extended reality layers, using the most cutting edge technology. Use your smart phone or iphone to engage in an immersive digital expereince on a scale never seen before in Scotland.

Final Weekend: 28th - 30th June 11am - 6pm

The last chance to enjoy the artwork, immerse yourself in the digital and get lost in the chaos of colour that has been created for this innovative one off event.

Tickets are available FREE of charge for slots of 2 hours per visit.

Activities

Each weekend there will be a programme of workshops and activities to learn more about street art, graffiti and digital art led by artists.

Invisible Cities will lead informative tours of the artworks.

The activity schedule and details on how to book will be emailed to all ticket holders in advance of the event.

How to get here

The closest train station is Exhibition Centre, just a short 2 minute walk from the entrance to the site on West Greenhill Place.

Visitors are encouraged to use public and active travel to the event. There is limited on street parking around the site, additional parking is available on the Skypark complex just a short walk away from the site.
