Join Grand Valley Equine Assisted Learning Center at Historic Moon Farm for our first Yard Olympics. Get your team of six together and compete against your friends, other businesses or make new friends competing against people you do not know in four yard games that will be fun for everyone!! We also have competitions for our friends with special needs who will compete individually with one another. Participants will get a goodie bag and also be able to attend our Movie Night later in the evening. Games include Yard Horse Racing, Cornhole, Ladder Toss and Human Foosball (Yard Connect Four will replace the human foosball for our participants with needs). Prizes for our winning teams as well as best team jerseys (uniforms) so every team is encouraged to get creative with your look for the day. These proceeds go to help GVEALC better serve our community through the work of our staff and horses, you can be a part of supporting healing done differently as we focus on serving the family unit, not just the individual. Team's registration is $180 ($30 per team member) and $10 for our special athletes. Spectators are welcome and will be asked for our regular admission of a suggested $5.00 donation per person. Yard Olympic registrations and spectators' donations all welcome you back out to Moon Farm later in the evening (gates open at 7:30 pm with movie at dusk) for our showing of Walk, Ride, Rodeo the story of Amberley Snyder continuing her rodeo career after a tragic accident caused her paralysis. Register your team and pay the fee in the tickets space of this event. You can also fill out the registration form located below and send it in as well.
