There has been various jolts over the last months for Perth alt rock band Yalla Yalla, but with all of that commotion now in the rear-view mirror, they have re-scheduled their run of dates in early 2025 with their first headline show taking place at Fremantle’s iconic Buffalo Club (Upper hall) on Saturday 8th February with support from Unicorn and The Paige McNaught Experience - PMXYalla Yalla's last studio release was ‘Tides’ in 2019, a sonic journey that must be listened to from start to static for the full experience. This release won them the opening slot for heavy-weight band Twelve Foot Ninja at that same year. Before being succumbed to the enchantment of fatherhood, their last live performances were in late 2022 to early 2023 at Hidden Treasures Festival followed by a Perth to Exmouth tour then a one off appearance to support for Perth Alt prog band Black Stone Brewers Conduit EP launch. Since then, Yalla’s frontman Dave Watkins has released two tracks and has skimmed the WA festival scene with his new project ‘The Fair Weathers’.
As long as their hearts are beating, Yalla Yalla will always be playing live shows. There are also some tasty studio releases in the works! But for the next little while, this show will be a rare opportunity to see this special part of Perth music history and hear an extra long set featuring songs from their career spanning over 10 years. Venue capacity is limited, so please get your tickets early so that you don’t miss out.
