About this Event
Futsal is a 5 a-side fast paced game that develops skills and tactics. The game encourages teams to make more passes as well as think more tactfully.
Squad: 8 in squad, with 5 on the pitch at any one time (Y5/6 girls only)
Rules;
• Played to lines and play is restarted with a kick in (as opposed to throw in), corner or goalkeeper’s THROW (no goal kicks) - must be taken within 4 seconds.
• Goalkeepers can leave the area and players can enter the area.
• Goals can be scored from anywhere.
• Ball can be played over head height.
• 5 fouls (we may reduce this to 3 depending on length of the game) before a penalty is awarded.
• Fouls are the same as football
• The goalkeeper cannot receive the ball more than once from his team until it touches an opponent.
Additional information:
- First Aid is the responsibility of each individual school. Please ensure that you are well equipped should your pupils require first aid.
- Please bring bibs in case of a kit clash.
Please note: Spectators are no longer able to come into the sports hall area - they are allowed to stay in the cafe area but if your team is playing on the far side, they will not be able to spectate the games.
