The Y Tri Challenge - Indoor Triathlon will be held at Torigian Family YMCA on Sun, Feb. 23 from 8:30am-12:00pm.The Description:
Participants will kick off with a 20-minute swim in our indoor pool, transition to 20 minutes of cycling on a stationary bike, and finish strong with 20 minutes on the treadmill. There will be 5 minutes allowed between each segment for a safe transition. The first waves will begin at 8:30 AM, with new waves starting every 25 minutes.
The standard triathlon is open to ages 15 and up, while youth participants ages 9 to 14 will complete a modified format. Participants can compete individually or form a team. Check-in is from 7:30 to 8:15 AM. Register by Saturday, February 1st to receive a T-shirt. Registration closes on Thursday, February 20th.
The proceeds of this event will benefit the Annual Fund. Your generous support is necessary to provide many of the Y programs and services that strengthen families and the community.
The Score:
Race volunteers will record the total distance covered during the swim, bike and run. The more distance covered, the higher your score. Prizes will be given to the top finishers.
The Cost:
Individuals: $30 until Feb 1st
Teams: $45 until Feb 1st
Youth (under 18): $20 until Feb 1st
