About this Event
- Y Mind is FREE 7 week group program to connect with others and learn easy, practical coping skills to manage stress, worries or anxiety.
- Y Mind runs 1 evening a week, for 7 weeks. Program dates: Tuesdays, March 3 - April 21, 5:30PM - 8PM.
- Learn simple, evidence-based tools from Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and self-compassion.
- Weekly small-group sessions (max 12 people) guided by trained mental health professionals.
- Y Mind is interactive -participants learn via experiential activities and discussion, supported by the facilitators according to your comfort level.
- Same group members each week, no drop-ins.
- No YMCA membership needed -you can self-refer.
- Connect with peers experiencing similar challenges.
- Program evaluation shows reduced anxiety and increased well-being following Y Mind.
- Free book and workbook to support your learning and practice of new skills.
- Free 7-week YMCA membership (up to 14 weeks if you attend all sessions).
Attending an info session is the first step towards joining. Advance registration for info sessions is required as space is limited. Your eventbrite ticket is not a registration to the event. Contact us first & we will register you.
