~ ꜰᴏʀ ᴇɴɢʟɪꜱʜ ꜱᴄʀᴏʟʟ ᴅᴏᴡɴ ~Y: Haunted Realities tvoří tematicky propojený diptych, kterým se noříme do zahnívajících vod současných kapitalismů. Jeho druhá část (X-Ray) zdůrazňuje nutnost vidět, co se děje pod povrchem aktuálních krizí a poznat jejich příčiny. Místo pozorování symptomů volíme rentgenový pohled skrz: chceme poznat všechny ekologické, ekonomické, psychofyzické (a třeba i bytové) krize, pocity odcizení. A možná, když prohlédneme dost hluboko, poznáme i místa odporu, rezistence a spolupatřičnosti, od kterých se můžeme mnohému naučit.

Pro Y: Haunted Realities II (X-Ray) hledáme takové umění, které proniká skrz mocenské, technologické, socio-kulturní nebo genderem podmíněné struktury a odkrývá vše, co tvoří pevné a nezpochybnitelné obrysy světa, který žijeme. Stejně tak hledáme umění, které pod vrstvou naší žité každodennosti vidí (a staví) světy nové. Zajímají nás takové umělecké formy, které pracují s technologiemi, ale i s tělem a vědomostmi, které nese. Jednou se společně musíme vydat na temnou stranu; hledat odvrácené tváře dobrých úmyslů, estetiku distopií, pokřivených zrcadel či techno kapitalistických vizí.

Y: Haunted Realities forms a thematically linked diptych that plunges us into the putrid waters of contemporary capitalism. The second phase (X-Ray) emphasises the need to see what’s happening beneath the surface of the current crises and get to know their causes. Instead of observing the symptoms, we’re opting for x-ray vision that sees straight through them: we want to discover all the ecological, economic, psycho-physical (and perhaps even housing) crises, the feelings of alienation. And perhaps, if we look deep enough, we will also discover sites of opposition, resistance and belonging that have much to teach us.

For Y: Haunted Realities II (X-Ray) we’re seeking art that breaks through the structures determined by power, technology, society, culture and gender and uncovers everything that shapes the solid, indisputable contours of the world in which we live. At the same time, we’re looking for art that sees (and constructs) new worlds beneath the strata of everyday reality. We’re interested in artistic forms that work with technology, but also with the body and the knowledge it carries. One day, we’ll have to venture to the dark side together – to seek out the reverse side of all the good intentions, the aesthetics of dystopia, the distorted mirrors and the techno-capitalist visions.
