CALL FOR SESSIONS / CALL FOR PAPER!ARCHAEOLOGY OF LIVED SPACES
CIAC PARIS 2024
The International Congress of Classical Archaeology will be held in Paris at the Campus Condorcet from 3 to 9 June 2024. Its primary theme is the archaeology of lived spaces. The idea is to consider spaces or buildings - whether political, religious, economic or domestic - that are the subject of archaeological research, by trying to understand what took place in them. We ask all participants to go beyond their architecture, their history or even their chronology, even they should never be forgotten. All propositions should try to analyse the different ways in which these places and buildings may have been used through time, sometimes over the long term and in very different ways. Such an approach calls for particular attention to data from archaeometric disciplines. It lies at the crossroads of archaeology, history and anthropology.
Proposals for sessions and papers are open to all specialists in archaeology working from the eighth century BC to the seventh century AD, from Europe to Central Asia, from Maghreb to Egypt.
With this call we are now inviting colleagues to propose panels by October 15, 2023.
Proposals of panels should include:
• a short title,
• a concise statement (of a maximum of 650 words),
• names and affiliations of proposed contributors as well as the title of their papers (from three to six papers).
Contributors should be invited to present twenty-minute papers. Panels should not exceed three hours and include a discussion.

All panels will be reviewed by an International Scientific Committee by November 15, 2023.
