XTERRA MALTA is recognised as one of the most picturesque offroad triathlon races in Europe and is held within the stunning Majjistral Natural Park and Golden Bay. As part of a weekend of activities, the Olympic distance Triathlon is the main event along with the team relay option.
You can also attempt the Triathlon Experience: a shorter distance with a less technical bike route suitable for beginners and Youths who can qualify for the World Tour.
NEW for 2025 is the Aquathlon which consists of the beach swim followed by the scenic trail run.
The weekend also hosts the popular 6K trail run and kids events.
Pros and amateurs from over 20 countries visit Malta in spring to experience the natural beauty, heritage and culture of this Mediterranean island, accessible by air from all major airports.

1.5 km Swim
30 km MTB
10 km Trail Run
It is also possible to participate in the Full Triathlon as a RELAY Team with 2 or 3 members. To form a relay team the Team Captain creates a team that Team Members will join.
