Pioneers in XR is excited to announce a new event centred on the business of XR technology. Join us for refreshments and light bites, generously provided by the Merseyway Innovation Centre in Stockport, to keep the ideas and conversations going.
We will hear from industry leaders on the power of extended reality (XR) to create and transform business. We’ll focus on case studies that provide real examples of how technology is being used across industries, from games to heritage projects, and research implementation to sports performance.

18:10 Dr. Maria Stukoff - chairs the sessions, and will provide a brief overview of the University of Salford's XR projects.
18:20 Keith Myers - will follow by presenting case studies showcasing the use of XR technology in various sectors, including training, medical projects, and heritage.
18:40 Adam Dickinson - takes us through his work using XR for games and sports performance and how XR leveraged their business.
19:20 Caroline White - explores regional opportunities for XR innovation in the North West, drawing on her work with the MediaCity Immersive Technologies Innovation Hub and XR Stories to showcase creative pathways.
19:00 Lee Englestone - will discuss how immersive technology can spark innovation, new business ideas, and his XR journey.

The event takes place in the heart of Stockport’s innovation centre, which is only a stone's throw from Stockport Train Station. Special thanks to Merseyway Innovation Centre for hosting us and providing refreshments with additional support from the University of Salford.
The small fee £1.99 is donated to charity and ensures we can offer the tickets to those that can attend.
