Μετά τις διακοπές, αλλά με την αίσθηση του καλοκαιριού στον αέρα, οι XOAN σας προσκαλούν στην παρουσίαση του νέου δίσκου τους με τίτλο "Tensions".
Έχοντας διανύσει μια σειρά ετών γεμάτα καθυστερήσεις λόγω ατυχημάτων, εξώσεων και λοιπών ανώτερων δυνάμεων, το συγκρότημα ολοκλήρωσε για 2η φορά το ακατόρθωτο και ακατανόητο εν έτει 2025 τασκ να παράξει έναν ολόκληρο δίσκο.
"Γιατί;" θα πει κανείς. Και θα έχει δίκιο να ρωτάει.
Είναι περίπλοκο.
Οι ΧΟΑΝ σχηματίστηκαν το 2018 και το 2020 κυκλοφόρησαν το "Greenhorn", ένα πρώτο δείγμα της αγάπης τους για τον εναλλακτικό ήχο.
Σήμερα, έχοντας στις τάξεις του πολύ δραστήρια μέλη της εγχώριας μουσικής κοινότητας με μακρύ μουσικό παρελθόν και μετά από χρόνια εμφανίσεων στις τοπικες σκηνές, το συγκρότημα δημιούργησε έναν δίσκο που δεν σε αφήνει να τον αφήσεις.
Από αργό slacker rock με autotune σε γρήγορα punk bpm. Από φωτεινά μελωδικά ρεφραίν σε βαριά ατμοσφαιρικά ξεσπάσματα. Από το αγγλόφωνο στο ελληνόφωνο, οι XOAN προσεγγίζουν το κάθε κομμάτι στο δικό του σύμπαν.
Η μόνη σταθερά είναι η συνέπεια στο songwriting και οι αναφορές στην εποχή που οι ίδιοι αγάπησαν τη μουσική, αφού συνδυάζουν με αβίαστο τρόπο όλα τα στοιχεία της χρυσής εποχής των 90s και 00s με τον ήχο του σήμερα.
Μαζί με τον Μάριο Αδαμόπουλο που υπογράφει την παραγωγή και τη μίξη, η μπάντα διατηρεί μια ανεπιτήδευτη ροή στις ενορχηστρώσεις, αφήνοντας χώρο για μικρές αναπάντεχες λεπτομέρειες. Μέσα από αυτό το ηχητικό τοπίο, κάθε τραγούδι του “Tensions” φέρνει στην επιφάνεια εσωτερικές συγκρούσεις, άγχος, αμφιβολίες, φόβους και τα εκτονώνει μέσα στη μουσική.
Κάθε νότα και κάθε λέξη λειτουργεί σαν μια μικρή νίκη σε κάποια εσωτερική μάχη, μεταμορφώνοντας το άγχος σε καθαρή ενέργεια. Ο χρόνος, η φιλία, η μοναξιά και η νοσταλγία παίρνουν υπόσταση και απελευθερώνονται σε μία ηχητική πολυμορφία γεμάτη επίπεδα.
Την Παρασκευή 19 Σεπτεμβρίου η ένταση αποκτά μορφή ζωντανά στο stage του AUX CLUB.

After the holidays, but with the feeling of summer still in the air, XOAN invite you to the presentation of their new album titled “Tensions”.
After years of delays caused by accidents, studio evictions and other unruly forces, the band completed for a second time the impossible and unfathomable (in the year 2025) task of making a full length album.
“Why?” someone might ask. And they would be right to wonder.
Well, it’s complicated.
XOAN formed in 2018 and introduced themselves with Greenhorn in 2020, a clear love letter to the alternative sound. Today, with very active members of the local music community that carry long musical backgrounds in their ranks, and after years of performing on local stages, the band has created an album that doesn’t let you skip a track.
“Tensions” moves around with purpose. From slow slacker rock with autotune to fast punk BPMs. From bright melodic choruses to heavy atmospheric outbursts. From English to Greek, XOAN approach each track in its own universe.
The only constant is the consistency in songwriting and the references to the era when they themselves fell in love with music, as they effortlessly blend elements of the golden music era of the 90s and 00s with the sound of today.
Producer and mixer Marios Adamopoulos helps the band keep an unpretentious flow in the arrangements, leaving space for small unexpected details. Through this sonic landscape, every song of “Tensions” brings to the surface inner conflicts, anxiety, doubts, fears and releases them through the music.
Every note and every word works like a small victory in some inner battle, transforming anxiety into pure energy. Time, friendship, loneliness and nostalgia take shape and are set free in a sonic polymorphy full of layers.
On Friday 19 September, tension takes form live on the stage of AUX CLUB.
