Hiện nay, sự phân cấp dữ liệu của xã hội không chỉ dẫn đến sự đổi mới hơn nữa của chủ nghĩa tư bản, mà còn tạo ra một hình thức thực dân mới. Chúng ta đang chứng kiến một giai đoạn mới trong lịch sử nhân loại không thua kém gì sự ra đời của chủ nghĩa thực dân lịch sử: sự xuất hiện của chủ nghĩa thực dân dữ liệu mới dựa trên sự chiếm đoạt cuộc sống của con người thông qua dữ liệu, sẽ mở đường cho một hình thức chủ nghĩa tư bản mới.
Bài thuyết trình sẽ bàn về cách trật tự xã hội mới được tạo ra như một yếu tố quan trọng để ổn định và thực thi những phát triển này. Bằng việc tái phát minh kiến thức xã hội, trật tự mới này cũng dẫn đến những sự phụ thuộc mới vào các nền tảng mà thông qua đó dữ liệu được thu thập và tạo ra các hình thức phân biệt đối xử mới. Và kết quả là sự xói mòn của thế giới xã hội nơi mà, đối với chủ nghĩa tư bản tập đoàn, mang hình thức nghịch lý của một xã hội mới nổi nhưng lại vốn sẵn có cho mục đích khai thác và thao túng vô tận.

The current datafication of society not only brings about another iteration of capitalism, but also a new form of colonialism. We are witnessing the start of a new phase in human history that rivals in importance the emergence of historic colonialism: in short, the emergence of a new data colonialism, based on the appropriation of human life through data that will pave the way for a new capitalism that it is as yet too early to name.
The lecture will discuss how a new social order is being created as the key means to stabilise and enforce these developments. This new order creates new dependencies on platforms through which data is extracted, and also produces new forms of social discrimination, based on a reinvention of social knowledge. The result is a hollowing out of the social world, which for corporate capitalism takes on the paradoxical form of an emerging new social domain available for endless exploitation and manipulation.
