About this Event
In partnership with the Auckland University Pacific Island Student Association and Nga Tauira Māori, Te Tumu Herenga | Libraries and Learning Services invite our tauira to our inaugural event designed to reconnect our Māori and Pasifika community with the Te Tumu Herenga village. The theme for this festival is "Re-indigenising Our Learning Journey." The Library fest is specifically created for Maori and Pacific students to explore Indigenous teaching and learning methods within Te Tumu Herenga (Library and Learning Services).
We invite you to immerse yourself in the day's activities. The day will be filled with interactive stations featuring our library collections, cultural workshops (including tivaevae, weaving, and Indigenous storytelling), cultural performances, food, taonga displays, Māori/Pasifika career pathways, and spot prizes throughout the day.
Join us in celebrating the richness of the Pacific.
