Wyoming Rocks! Water WaysJoin us on Saturday, October 11 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00p.m. for interactive activities that explore the powerful relationship between water and geology. Learn how groundwater flows beneath our feet, how water forms rocks, and how Wyoming’s rocks hold the story of water through time.
Enjoy demonstrations and hands-on activities for all ages, including groundwater models, cracking your own geode, making a crystal kit, and digging for your own opal (spoiler alert, opal colors are due to water!)
Come experience science in action with us at the UW Geological Museum and our partners the Wyoming State Geological Survey.
