About this Event
Six-year-old Robin emerged from the shelter to find his family home bombed. His mother wrapped him in a Canadian Red Cross quilt. Canadian quilters sent over 400,000 comfort quilts to Britain in WW II, 43,000 from Alberta. As quilts resurfaced in the UK, the Canadian Red Cross Quilt Research Group formed to collect, document, and research our quilts. In 2023, 64 quilts came home with stories of the people who received them. Lucie Heins talks about this amazing project!
