Memorial Day is not just about the start of summer or a long weekend at the lake. It is about remembrance, retrospection, understanding, and reflection. Thousands of young people have sacrificed their comfort and ambitions so that we might realize our own. Yet, we give little thought to them that one day every year, that is set aside time to honor them.Coweta County, a rural county with a small population for most of its existence, was still impacted by world events, losing more than ninety young men to World War I and World War II. Yet, most know little about those boys who willingly sacrificed for us. Join the History Center and Steve Quesinberry to explore this time and learn a little about the Coweta boys who died for us.
