Winter Hiking Series - Twin Sisters Peaks

Come join us for the second of 3 Winter Hikes - We are tackling the Twin Sisters Peaks in Rocky Mountain National Park!

Get ready to explore the beautiful trails and stunning views this winter season. This series is perfect for hiking enthusiasts who are looking to keep their hiking stamina throughout the cold months!

Spikes will be required equipment for every hike in this series. We will try and avoid needing snowshoes so the actual trail we hike could be redetermined based on snow accumulation. In the event of severe weather conditions (extreme wind, cold or blizzard conditions) we will reschedule to the following week and the entire series will be pushed back to the next scheduled date.

This trail passes through known avalanche territory - if there is moderate-considerable or above avalanche danger in the area according to CAIC or any of the following; extreme cold, blizzard conditions, extreme wind conditions or significant snow accumulation making snowshoes necessary we will be choosing an alternate hike in RMNP based on a vote from the signed up group. If the group as a whole has snowshoes and would like to move forward with snowshoes in the proper conditions - let's do it!

Time & date remain the same unless the whole area is in a winter storm warning - we can choose a hike closer to Denver or choose to reschedule.

Alternate hike choices include: Sky Pond, the Loch, Emerald Lake, Deer Mountain
