Our Triple Triumph is accomplishing three hikes of the 25 in 2025 Challenge in one weekend while exploring historic Prescott area.
About this Event

DATE: Friday, March 14, 2025 - March 16, 2025

TIME: We will meet in downtown Prescott at Hassayampa Inn, 1:00pm on Friday. Plan is to check in at hotel (if possible) and coordinate vehicles to head out on our first hike by 2pm. (Be respectful of the others in the group and arrive on time/early). Should be finished with Sunday morning’s hike by 1pm.

There are several lodging accommodations in downtown Prescott surrounding the court square park. Recommend staying at Hassayampa Inn, which has a small coffee shop, dining restaurant and live music.

We can coordinate carpools, room sharing, and more in the event chat group.

Hike speed/pace will ultimately depend upon the groups pace (this is a leave no one behind hike and we move as a group). Our weekend hiking is meant to be inclusive and safe experience for participants.

Each of the three trailheads are within 10 to 20 minutes of downtown Prescott and easy to drive to on paved roads.

Friday Afternoon Prescott Circle Trail Segment 10, 4.6 mile, 249 foot elevation gain, rated Moderate/intermediate https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/arizona/prescott-circle-trail-segment-10. Part of the Prescott Circle Trail System. Easier trail skirting Watson Lake.

Saturday Morning Prescott Farmer’s Market 9:30am-12:30pm https://www.prescott.com/calendar

Saturday Afternoon Iron King Trail to Peavine Trail, 7 miles, 377 foot elevation gain, rated Easy/Beginner https://www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/arizona/iron-king-trail. Starting with a gentle ascent, the Iron King Trail to Peavine Trail follows an abandoned railroad line as it meanders through the breathtaking Prescott Dells granite formations. While hiking, you'll get numerous views of Watson Lake and the surrounding area. The trail goes around the lake's main body after offering a view of one of the lake's inlets.

Sunday Morning Goldwater Lakes Trail 396, 6.1 miles, 679 foot elevation gain, rated Moderate/Intermediate https://www.alltrails.com/explore/trail/us/arizona/goldwater-lakes-trail-396. Trail #396 creates a large forested loop around Upper and Lower Goldwater Lakes. We will take a trail side trail to visit lake as part of hiking experience

If desired, bring your paddle board or kayak to enjoy Watson Lake while you are in Prescott for the weekend.
