Starting inside the Courtyard of the Historic Napoleonic Fort Perch Rock Battery, Our Historian will be introducing you to the History of the Fort and A brief history of Napoleonic Wars to Modern Day
You will then undertake a walking Tour on Life on the Homefront in New Brighton during the War Years and its Defence Systems including the British Army, US Army and the Home Guard who were stationed around the Town.
Hear about The Dig for Victory Campaign, The Blitz, Ladies and their new duties, Evacuation, The US Army, German Spies in the Attic, The AA Guns at the Red Noses, The Maunshell Forts in the River Mersey, War Dances at the Tower Ballroom and So Much More.
Meeting At The Mess Quarters Cafe inside Fort Perch Rock, Marine Promenade. New Brighton, Ch452JU Pop in for a Tea, Coffee or Hot Chocolate before the Tour starts or a bite to eat. We can also reserve a table for after the Tour finishes where further talks are available with our Historian & Author inside New Brighton’s Oldest Surviving building.

This Tour is a Short Walk from Fort Perch Rock to the Tower Grounds via the Promenade
This Talk & Walk will start in the Courtyard and will last for a couple of hours then you can enjoy listening to some Wartime Music with Food & Drinks available from the Mess Menu which includes Aunty Mo’s Wartime Scouse. So come and join us for an afternoon of great entertainment at The Napoleonic Fort
