Special Donation Drive: Bears and Blankets - Join us for our Game Watch and bring along a new teddy bear or blanket and brighten a child's hospital stay.
About Bears and Blankets
Over 9000 children are admitted to WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital each year. Most are facing severe health challenges, and they are not feeling well, and many are scared of staying in a strange place.
The WVU Alumni Lone star chapter started a program called
Bears & Blankets over six years ago to assist the Child Life Program with providing a small item of comfort to children admitted to the hospital. The program is being adopted as a community involvement project by most WVU alumni chapters across the country in 2025.
