WVLT’s 1st Wednesdays Dog Walk is back November 6! This month we will be walking on the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail starting from Sorjourner Truth Park (55 Plains Rd, New Paltz) This is a fantastic chance for dog owners and their furry companions to enjoy the changing seasons together while exploring our stunning local protected lands with WVLT’s Executive Director and one of her rescued dogs.
We will meet at 5 pm to begin our walk beginning at Sojourner Truth Park walking south to the Plattekill Gorge Bridge and back.
The walk will be at a casual pace. Heavy rains will cancel. Please RSVP so we know to expect you!

General Details for WVLT’s 1st Wednesdays Dog Walks:
Location: Wallkill Valley Land Trust protected lands
Frequency: 1st Wednesday evening of each month
Requirements:
- Dogs must be on a 6 foot leash at all times.
- Dogs should be comfortable around other dogs and people.
- Dogs must be vaccinated as per NYS requirements.
- Owners must carry dog waste bags, pick up after their dogs, and carry the waste out with them.
