***PLEASE USE THE COMPULSORY REGISTRATION FORM (BELOW) IF YOU WANT TO JOIN FOR THIS TRAINING NIGHT***Ever thought of leading a club tramp? Or perhaps you’d like to organise a personal adventure but don’t quite know where to start?
Former WTMC Chief Guide Monique Bon will be hosting an evening workshop for members who share a passion for exploring the great outdoors. We'll cover all the key elements of planning and leading a successful tramp.
By the end of the course, you will have a thorough understanding of:
- Planning a Tramp: From choosing a destination to mapping out the route, we'll discuss the best practices for creating an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone.
- Club and Hut Etiquette: Learn the guidelines and expectations for Club-sponsored tramps and how to respect the facilities and environment we visit, including huts and campsites.
- Safety Protocols: Safety is our top priority, so we'll go over the essential safety measures, gear checklists, and group dynamics to ensure everyone is well-prepared.
- Emergency Procedures: Discover the steps to take in case of an emergency, including communication strategies, and evacuation plans.
- This workshop will be a combination of informative presentations, group discussions, and hands-on activities to help you gain the knowledge and confidence to lead your own tramps.
